Dr. Sarah G. Jones, the only practicing female physician of color in this state died at her palatial residence, 908 N. Third St., Thursday morning. She was a graduate of the Medical Department of Howard University. Her husband, Dr. M. B. Jones is a specialist in ear, throat and eye troubles.
She was a skillful physician and had built up a large and devoted patronage. Her complexion was fair and no one would have presumed that she was a member of the colored race. Her death will be generally regretted and her large number of friends will mourn her departure as a personal loss.
