February 6, 1909
Summary
A bond broker, Oliver Hazard, is arrested on suspicion of bond forgery.
Transcription
A clew to the numerous postoffice robberies that have occurred in this state during the past eighteen months may result from the arrest in Philadelphia of Oliver P. Hazard, a bond broker in that city. The warrant for his arrest was sworn out in Allentown, after he had attempted to dispose of four bonds, which had been stolen from the postoffice building East Texas on Dec. 21. He claims that he secured the bonds from brokers in New York in the usual course of his business.
