THE APPOINTMENT OF POLYGAMISTS.
The statement made by Roberts that polygamist had been appointed Postmasters in Utah, by the President and confirmed by the Senate, which was news to President, the Senate, and the Post Office Department, which immediately began an investigation to ascertain the truthfulness of the statement. If there is a polygamist postmaster in Utah, or elsewhere, he will be dismissed from office as soon as the proofs are in the hands of the Department. The House Committee that is investigating the charges against Roberts is working diligently. Its report is almost certain to be against Roberts.
