There will be held in Richmond, Virginia, for two days, commencing September 8, 1898, a meeting to make suitable arrangements for the holding of a Negro National Exposition in the United States in 1900.
We should feel it a duty we owe the old mothers and fathers of the race, who were born during the dark days of slavery, and those born since, to come together, while some of the slave experiences still survive, in a Great National Exposition and enjoy the rich achievements of their prayers and the prayers of those that sleep beneath the sod, and together rusher in the new century and install and crown the New Negro.
The exposition.
It is presumed that this will be the greatest occasion of the age and an epoch in the history of the Negroes of America.

When this body meets in Richmond, September 8th and 9th, it will decide the Exposition will be held and how long it will continue. Many extensive preparations will be made for the said Exposition.
