The atrocious crimes committed by white men upon colored females an account of which other column demonstrate conclusively that the officers of the law are falling to do their sworn duty.
No one can ready without burning with indignation the fiendish crimes perpetrated by white brutes upon an idiotic colored girl.
Their victim has since died from the treatment and there is no reason to believe that they will receive the punishment which they deserve.
Follwoing closely upon this is the account of the rapinf of a small colored child by a high standing white man of Mississippi. He was convicted and during the trial mysteriously disappeared and his friends now allege that he was suffering from mental aberration.
A noose would cure it. A search should be made for this fiend and the law allowed to mete the punishment of death as a reward for his inhumanity.
Colored women are afforede comparatively no protection and their white ravishers are shielded from the penalties of the law.
A crime committed by a colored man is no worse than a crime committed by a white wine and vice versa.
When colored men insist upon the punishment of these villains, and protect their women a better condition of affairs will prevail.
Ravishers of women, be they black or white are entitled to no respect and merit no sympathy. They should be legally executed. No one race without the other, however and colored men should see to it that fair play is vouchsafed in each and every case.
White men who commit crime upon colored women must be taught the same lesson that is given us when we are guilty of similar offences. Lynch law must go!
