The killing of Col. HC Parson the owner of Natural Bridge, VA by Conductor TA Goodman at Clifton Forge, VA, Saturday, 30th ult. Has produced a decided sensation and caused almost endless comment with reference to a condition of Affairs which would invite such consequences. Col. Parsons was widely and favorably known as a public-spirited citizen.
That he had done much to develop the latent resources of Virginia goes without question.
She was a capitalist and had the year of other capitalist who with him had entered into the task of causing cities to spring into existence in a night, while the hum of Industry, the Buzz of the Machinery with 100 of men to operate the same told the story of Virginia's material advancement.
The tragedy occurred at Clifton Forge, VA, the same place where nearly more than 2 years ago 3 colored men were lynched by a longest mob.
That unfortunate Affair paralyzed Industries and caused immigrants to turn the heads of their teams in another Direction.
This same anarchistic Spirit that caused the death of the colored man permeated Conductor Goodman.
It was blood the mob wanted and it was that this man determined to have. He has killed a capitalist, and in doing so has done incalculable injury to the state.
We do not know that he will be severely punished.
Already articles, expressing sympathy for him rather than the unfortunate whom he has.
