Summary

A man, who is accused of outraging a white woman, is lynched upon his arrival into town.

Transcription

August 9th, 1893, James Johnson, colored, is alleged to have outraged Mrs. Stella King, of this place. He was captured in St. Louis and brought hers last night. The news of his coming preceded him and from the train by a mob and hanged. His body was filled with bullets.
