Transcription

Eighty-two colored volunteers wanted for the 10th U.S. Volunteer Infantry commanded by Colonel Jesse M. Lee. This regiment is to have colored lieutenants for each company, and all non-commissioned officers are to be colored men.

Volunteers will be enrolled and mustered into service at 603 East Broad St., city, where the enrolling officer will be every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Board will be furnished recruits when necessary, while awaiting muster in.
