Dear Sir:
I have this day read your article of January 21st published in the Sun of January 31, ’01, doing so with great pleasure rejoicing that intelligent colored men are beginning to state manfully their side of this sad race problem. I, a white man, have been striving for some years to remove the wrongs, the cruelties and injustices your people suffer—but do not learn of many of your people who are doing work in their behalf.
Yours for Right and Justice,
Chas. H. Williams
